about me

Mary Trinkle has been in education for 17 years as a teacher, instructional coach, and facilitator of professional learning. She found curiosity exploring her mathematical teaching practice and has found her community. She loves to explore how our math identities as learners impact us in our lives and in the profession of education. She brings in foundations of curiosity and inquiry in her work with students, teachers, and coaches. Her most recent work includes consulting, coaching and facilitating professional learning for teams of teachers and math coaches. She is a Lecturer at Stanford University in the Graduate School of Education, where she supports preservice teachers to grow their practices as math educators. She has published two books with Heinemann to support teachers with their mathematics teaching practice.

Safe, growth, and joy! My work with Mary, both as a classroom teacher and as an instructional coach, has truly supported me in being curious to explore more about inquiry-based math and in deeply reflecting on my own teaching practices.
